Sponsorship Request

Sponsorship requests must be for events or organizations within the Second District. Sponsorship requests to support events, programs or activities must fall within the scope of the mission and business for the County. The event, program or activity shall employ consistent County branding to maximize the name recognition of the County, increase public participation, and promote the County’s mission as effectively as possible.

In order to process requests, your organization must be registered and in good standing with the Secretary of State and be registered and in good standing with the State Department of Justice. In addition, the County requires a UEI number (which can be obtained free of charge through Sam.gov), and does an entity check with Dun and Bradstreet (DUNS). Vendors must have their W-9 form.

2025 Changes in Processing Requests

Due to newly approved state laws and County policies, the County has made necessary changes to its contracting and procurement processes to address existing issues and ensure compliance.

Beginning January 1, 2025, we will implement additional processes for the intake, documentation, and approval of requests. Requests will also require a vote by the Board of Supervisors at a regularly scheduled public meeting. Although our office has been able to expedite some requests in past years, the new process does not allow for exemptions.

As a result of these newly implemented policies, we kindly ask that you please submit requests at least two months in advance to allow for timely review and processing and for the time needed to obtain full Board approval.

If approved, delivery of payments may take up to three weeks from the time of approval. Please note: Not all sponsorship requests will be approved.

Applying for sponsorships requires two steps: submitting the Second District Informational Form and completing the Community Support Program application (using the provided link). Both steps must be completed for your request to be processed.
